Four years later, a Japanese sports coupe appears on the market.

The Lexus LC 500 was the first car of a new era for the Japanese premium brand. The acclaimed 2 + 2 Coupe was born in 2016 to break Toyota's sober and boring brand image and indeed rekindle passion since it began with its impressive and sporty design and its 8-liter naturally aspirated V5.0. 480 h.p. (not a hybrid version, more walking).

Four years later, a convertible version of the Lexus sports car appears, model LC 500 Convertible... Even if forced to wait, it promises to continue to thrill the senses of enthusiasts with a unique outdoor driving experience.

Dimensions unchanged, but with tarpaulin top

It retains the dimensions of the LC 500 Coupé: 4.760 mm long, 1.920 mm wide and 1.350 mm high, with a large axle spacing of 2.870 mm. Under the body, it hides the same V10 engine as its enclosed sister, naturally aspirated and paired with a XNUMX-speed DirectShift transmission. The tarpaulin top, made up of 4 layers for optimal insulation, opens in 15 seconds and can be used at a maximum speed of 50 km / h. And the driver can follow the roof opening or closing with animation projected onto the dashboard.

The same beating heart: naturally aspirated V8

To make the most of the open-roof V8 of the LC 500 convertible, the Japanese sports car can count on the system heating of the head area and a transparent deflector. The new Lexus LC 500 convertible will hit the market in summer 2020.
