Lexus also joins the segment electric and does so with an unexpected new entry called UX300e and presented at Guangzhou Exhibition... Like most manufacturers, the Japanese premium brand for its first zero-emission vehicle has focused on an SUV body, not only because of the market trend, but also because of the height from the ground, which makes vehicle placement easier.

This innovation represents just the first step for Lexus to produce electric models, designed from the ground up and based on Toyota's future solid-state battery electric platform, which will debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
