Lime unveils new e-bike with removable battery

Mobile operator Lime has just unveiled a new bike model that can be swapped for an electric scooter battery.

An innovation that will improve usability, save money and reduce the company's carbon footprint. Lime has invested $ 50 million in this new electric bike, the battery is interchangeable with the battery of the latest scooter models and intends to double the number of cities in which it is located. It will then be presented this year in 50 municipalities around the world.

The motor on this new electric bike will be more powerful and come with cool little improvements like a phone holder (finally!) And a new handlebar display. The electric lock system is lighter in order to reduce the overall weight of the motorcycle, and the two-speed automatic transmission should provide a smoother ride.

This fleet renewal certainly became necessary as Lime announced that there were 2,5 million flights registered in year 2020 and it is likely to continue on that path.
