Lyon: return of the electric bike subsidy in 2017

From 1 January 2017, Métropole de Lyon will resume its assistance program for the purchase of electric bicycles with up to 250 euros.

Although Greater Lyon was one of the first communities to initiate a mechanism to help buy electric bicycles, the authorities suspended the subsidy for several years. Today, the daily Le Progrès recalls its return in the form of a proposal put to a vote at the beginning of the September school year to restore the system from September 1, 2017.

With an annual budget of € 250.000 1000, which is enough to fund at least 4 electric bicycles per year, the program will extend through 2020 (XNUMX) and aim to increase sales of the little electric queen.
