The best comics for kids - a selection of titles

Fans of drawn books with speech bubbles do not need to be persuaded - they know what an intensive form of development is and what a great pleasure for a child is to read a comic book. For the undecided, I will only write that the comic is just a form that hides all the richness of literature: fiction, fact, humor, education, novel, story, etc. In the article you will find a cheat sheet with credibility among comics for children.

The best comics for kids - why are they worth it?

Although more and more parents are convinced of reading comics to their children, it is still an underrated form. And yet comics are a very ambitious type of book, reading which is a real test for a child's (and adult's) brain. Here is a story in which we have to read pictures and text at the same time, and in addition to respect the order of frames. And as if that's not enough, we have to constantly guess what happened between frames, because in a comic book we don't have everything written sentence by sentence, like in a typical novel.

It is worth remembering that a comic book is not one type of book, but only a characteristic form of graphic and textual storytelling. We can find comic novels (including editions of famous titles and series), short stories, entertainment, humorous content, etc. We can find fantasy, detective and non-fiction. Depending on the interests of the reader, we can provide him with a historical comic for children, as well as comics for children or comics as a supplement. The selection is really impressive.

In today's review, it is not by chance that I recommend a lot of Polish titles. In the last decade, Polish authors have once again embraced this unique form, which has resulted in many amazing children's comics. Of course, it is impossible to recommend the best comics in one article. But I have prepared some really good examples to show the variety, from Polish classics to the most famous children's comics in the world.

Stop! Be sure to pay attention to this name. Reading is not only a great pleasure, but also a very developing activity. In addition, this is a comic for children - they can draw, color or invent something.

"Umarly las" is a western, the action of which takes place near us, or rather in our forests. Incredible adventures, unexpected turns of events, each character becomes a favorite. And in the background, Polish nature, interesting facts, content - a wonderful activity that comes to mind by itself and stays in it for a long time.

  • "Where does carbonated water come from?"

Comic for all time! 40 years ago, I became so fascinated with illustrations that… I learned to read. It was for this title that I had no choice, I was in a sanatorium and there was no one to help me. Then I got acquainted with the iconic Journey with the Diplodocus Dragon and other works by Tadeusz Baranowski. Be sure to reach out to them. First of all, you will travel with your child to the Polish People's Republic, which was the great period of Polish children's comics. Secondly, you might be inspired to search for your children's comics: Yonka, Yonek and Klex, Titus, Romek and A'Tomek, Gapiszon, Kaiko and Kokosh, etc. Have fun!
