It should cleanse the skin well and smell good. Enough? This is definitely not enough! Shower gel is a basic cosmetic product. It has a specific task, and we rarely think about its composition, properties or packaging. Up to this day. We have tested and compared the new shower gel formulas for you to make your choice easier.

I have one weakness. I admit that I am a compulsive buyer of shower and bath gels. I stopped thinking about the source of this addiction and now I just surrender to it. When I find the perfect gel (and sometimes I do), I savor it, study the ingredients, smell it, and enjoy using it. Each bath or shower becomes one of the most enjoyable rituals of the day. For me, it's better than coffee. Below I share my thoughts on this topic.

Smell is important, so I smell. Delicate, spicy-fruity and enveloping. This fragrance evokes memories of oranges stuffed with cloves, which has a very festive touch. Although the fragrance is inspired by winter punch, my young son thinks that the cosmetics smells like gummies. There's something about it.

I check the composition of the whole 98% natural ingredients, the bottle is recycled and the label is made from biofoil. Not bad. The formula contains mandarin, cardamom and sweet almond oil. In addition, there is moisturizing sorbitol and soothing allantoin. Mild detergent ingredients so I feel safe. And something else important and very practical for me: push-ups.

The gel is colorless and transparent. It lathers well and the aroma instantly spreads throughout the bathroom. It becomes nice. And so you can sit in the foam, massage the body and stay in the bath.

After rinsing is an important point. I always check how my skin reacts. Is it loaded? In this case, no. I don't have to reach for lotion right away because I don't feel the need to, even though my skin is usually very dry.

Test passed. I can smell it for a good half hour. On the body, in the air… very nice.

Refreshing shower gel, Fresh Blends, Nivea

It turns out that the big cosmetics companies want to be part of the plan to heal the planet too. That's why new products are emerging, such as this shower gel with a natural formula (as much as 90% of the ingredients are from nature), redesigned packaging and interesting composition. And it contains rice milk, which moisturizes and cares for the correct skin microbiome.

When I smell the gel, I immediately smell the fruity blend of apricots and mangoes. It is associated with summer and is quite gentle, so it does not get boring, as is often the case with fruity aromas. The gel lathers strongly and quickly refreshes the skin. After rinsing and wiping, it tightens, so I reach for the lotion. The fragrance stays on the skin for a while. If it had a pump, I would love to use it instead of hand soap.

Shower cream, Hamard

It's hard to talk about shower gel when I have cosmetics with such a rich composition in front of me. Creamy milk, no soap, so I already know my dry skin will feel it. The composition includes argan oil and shea butter, so a powerful dose of lubrication, nutrition and, as a result, strengthening the body.

However, the basis of this cleansing milk is thermal water - a source of minerals. I have read that all active ingredients come from nature, one hundred percent. So I taste, smell and mix with water in my hand. The smell is very gentle, I feel a touch of lavender, it turns out that the composition includes the addition of lavender water.

The milk gently cleanses the skin, and after rinsing and rubbing in, I do not need to apply lotion. A protective film remains on the body, very pleasant and comfortable sensations. Therefore, I use the lotion for the following days, and the effect of hydrated, supple and smooth skin is maintained.

I found something else in the composition: the addition of aloe and sunflower oil. Their action is to soothe irritations and moisturize. Therefore, the gel is ideal for sensitive skin.

Shower gel with oil, Idea Toscana 

This natural shower gel is based on organic Tuscan olive oil. Its effect on the skin is, first of all, in restoring the hydrolipidic balance, that is, moisturizing, lubricating and preventing the leakage of water from the epidermis.

I open the tube lid. The smell of the gel causes nostalgia in the nose thanks to the essential oils of medicinal plants, incl. rosemary, sage, lavender and mint. Dry, pleasant and very comforting scent.

The gel lathers well, although it does not contain SLS or SLES, so it washes off gently, and I have the impression that this is a good cosmetic product for very dry skin. One way or another, the effect of the oil is felt immediately, as soon as the gel is on the body.

The foam is creamy and very dense, when rubbed into the skin leaves a protective film on it. The skin is softer, smoother and, of course, smells like an Italian delicacy. Herbal collection remains on the body for a long time after washing. That does not bother you at all, on the contrary.

And one more thing: in my opinion, such a herbal gel is well suited for men's skin care.

Body Gel, Black Orchid, Organic 

Something different from the traditional shower gel, but for washing the body. Washing gel, but this time in the original form of foam. The formula is closed in a large jar, similar to thick jelly.

The fragrance is quite strong, floral, sensual, inspired by the black orchid. The jar is very light, it seems that this jelly has no weight. It is interesting in that the consistency is quite dense, so the cosmetics do not spread. A good idea, because you can take it with you on a short trip and just put it in your bag. No risk of leakage.

I scoop some of the formula in my hand and mix it with water. The foam is light and fluffy, and the aroma is still quite strong, suitable for lovers of floral aromas. It's too much for me.

Foam contains vegetable glycerin and coconut oil. So the formula should moisturize and nourish the epidermis. Effect? After rinsing, the skin is refreshed, but I do not feel that it is specially moisturized, so I support myself with lotion. Smell? He lived long enough to wear me out.
