Ken Block's favorite cars
Content
Today, Ken Block is the icon of the world's gym, though he is still tempted by rally racing and the only thing that hasn't changed in his career is his relationship with Ford cars. There is hardly a more sporty model of the brand over the past ten years, which has remained out of the sight of Blok.
But what is hidden in the pilot's garage where his racing cars are parked? And don't forget that the selection is by no means exhaustive, not even all the cars that Block now owns, let alone those that belonged to him and were sold long ago or for one reason or another no longer exist - such as the burned-out Escort RS Cosworth .
Ford RS2000 (1986)
It's one of Ken's great prides - the car built for Group B is a 200-car production run, while the Block has a 2,1-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine - only 24 of this variant are built. With the intervention of the Block's technical team, this RS200 has over 800 horsepower and the car is equipped with new KB1 wheels designed by the pilot.
Ford Escort Mk2 RS (1978)
This is a car that Ken had for a long time, bought in 2008. Body changes are the work of Japanese designer Ken Miura. The engine is a 2,5 liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder with 333 horsepower and the speed limiter runs at 9000 rpm.
SVC Ford Raptor (2017)
The full name of the car is the SVC Off-Road Ford Raptor, and the monster is powered by a 3,5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine made by Ford Performance. SVC made the pickup wider, added new suspension, bigger tires and extra headlights.
Ford F-150 Raptor (2017)
Nobody knows what's special here - the pickup truck has a 3,5-liter V6 that works with a 10-speed Select Shift automatic and produces 450 hp.
Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR (1965)
The star of many of Ken's videos, the incredible Mustang has a NASCAR engine prepared by Rusch Yates and has a 8 hp V1400 engine. Not to mention both big Garrett turbos.
Ford Fiesta ST RX43 (2015)
Ken's race car from the 2015 season is a rallycross classic, as the engine is Pipo's, the turbo is Garrett's, and the transmission is again Sadev's 6-speed sequential. The power of this Fiesta is 600 hp and the acceleration from 0 to 96 km / h is less than 2 seconds - this is very important in rallycross.
Ford F-150 Hoonitruck (1977)
Another star of the gym, equipped with yet another Rush Yates creation, the V6 EcoBosst, in the original version of the Ford Performance Project. In short 914 hp The body is made of hand-forged aluminum, which is usually ordered in the army.
Can-Am Maverick X3 X RS (2019)
For adventures in the wild with a sportier Fox suspension and 3 hp Rotax 154-cylinder turbo engine.
Ford Bronco (1974)
And here is the most interesting under the hood of a car with unchanged design - a 5-liter Coyote V8 with 435 hp, which works with a 6-speed 6R80 automatic.
Ford Escort RS Cosworth V2 (1994)
This is Ken's favorite car, which is strictly Group A prepared and therefore limited to 350 hp. Transmission 6-speed, sequential on Sadev.
