M7650 ADCVANCED LTE Pocket Mobile Router
Without access to the Internet, we can no longer imagine our lives. In the subway, we read the news on our smartphones, at school we post on FB during recess, and while lying on the beach we buy concert tickets. Unfortunately, before the holidays, we are worried that when we go to Masuria or the Augustow primeval forest, it cuts us off from the Internet and how will we then post photos on Instagram or a video from a kayak to a friend? Although we can use a smartphone to share the network with a laptop, it has many disadvantages, such as the phone's battery drains quickly. Therefore, it is better to invest in a compact M7650 access point with a powerful battery that will easily provide 4G/3G connectivity to multiple devices. You can also connect a desktop computer to it via the USB port.
The presented mobile router M7650 has a small size: 112,5 × 66,5 × 16 mm, so it will fit in the pocket of a backpack or bag. The case is made of high-quality gray-black plastic and has rounded edges. The front panel has a color display that informs about the amount of data used, the number of connected devices, signal strength and battery status. The front panel also houses the device launch and navigation buttons. Admittedly, the whole thing looks very elegant - unfortunately, the black elements are not resistant to fingerprints.
The M7650 has a high-capacity battery up to 3000 mAh, so it can work for several hours at full capacity or 900 hours in standby mode.
It is most convenient to manage the device using a special free application TP-Link tpMiFi. In the application we will set, among other things, the network password and its type, power saving mode, signal strength, SIM card parameters, whether we have received any SMS and data limit, thanks to this we will also reboot the device.
The only downside is that you can not turn on the Polish language, but I think that everyone will be able to use the device perfectly anyway. The router can also be controlled via the website http://tplinkmifi.net or by entering the address in the browser http://192.168.0.1.
To start the hotspot, all you need is a SIM card with a data package that will allow us to use the 4G LTE Cat phone network. 6. We have a choice of two Wi-Fi network bands - 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz.
The M7650 achieves download speeds of up to 600 Mb/s and upload speeds of 50 Mb/s, although it is known that in the implementation of such parameters we are still very limited by cellular network transmitters that do not support such speeds. I achieved download speeds above 100 MB/s and was already very pleased with this fact. It should be recognized that the device has great potential.
The hotspot is also equipped with a micro SD slot that can read up to 32GB cards, allowing users to wirelessly share music, original movies or favorite photos. The device can be charged via a micro USB cable connected to a computer, charger or adapter.
The presented model is a high-end equipment that will last for several years, keeping up with the changes offered by mobile operators. It has many attractive features and is the perfect solution for traveling with a large group of friends.
I think it is worth considering buying it, especially since the product is already available for sale at a price of around PLN 680. The access point is covered by a 24-month manufacturer's warranty.
