A collector is a person (also an adult) forced to collect without a special key. He is not particularly interested in the theme of the collection. He likes only the moment of purchase, placement on the shelf. The picker often collects many "lines" in parallel, but does not use them, that is, in the case of a child, he does not play with them, loses interest when unpacking the next product. On the other hand, the collector collects his collections by key, uses them or exhibits them, shows them to others, talks about them, uses them for creative inspiration. They usually know about their collection too. In the case of younger children collecting, for example, stuffed animals, instead of specific encyclopedic knowledge, it will be, for example, the names of toys or their stories.

What gives the child the creation of a collection?

Collecting, the kid learns the simplest mathematical analysis, i.e. answer the question: "Is this item included in the set?". The next step is organizing the space. Where does he keep his collection? Will he close it in his desk drawer or throw it in the toy basket? Or maybe he wants to expose it and show it to others? Then he must place the items on a shelf, window sill, in some permanent place, arranged according to his idea. Such a collection is usually the pride of the child, so it is often decorated and shown to relatives and friends. This, in turn, teaches… the art of presentation.

A small collector can also begin to save and thus learn to save if his collection includes the purchase of more figurines, books from a multi-volume series, mineral specimens, penknives, etc. In addition, the child has a chance to find a new social network for himself. a group, not only peers, a kindergarten, school or residential complex, but also a group of friends with whom they share a common interest. And from here it is already a step to get acquainted with the first rules of barter trade - even small collectors can exchange elements of their collections with each other.
