Munroe: Tesla is lying. He has better technology than he looks. I would expect a solid state battery for Battery Day

Sandy Munro is a person with many years of experience in the automotive industry. He repeatedly analyzed various Tesla models, their structure and electronics, evaluating the meaning of certain decisions through the eyes of an expert. Even when he was wrong, it was because Tesla had a hidden agenda or that the technology was suppressing him. Now he said it directly:

Tesla lies

According to Elon Musk, Tesla has elements that must withstand 0,48-0,8 million kilometers. When asked if the manufacturer has a battery that will last up to 1,6 million kilometers (a million miles battery), Munroe responded that he thought Tesla already has it [even if he just announces it]. Therefore, putting it in the context of Battery Day may not make much sense.

> Elon Musk: Tesla 3 batteries will last for 0,5-0,8 million kilometers. In Poland, there would be at least 39 years of operation!

Because Tesla is lying, constantly making claims that are weaker than the technology it has. Munro gave an example of an undefined alloy here: the manufacturer showed that he was using X, while measurements from the spectrometer indicated that a much higher quality material was used.

According to the expert, if Tesla wants to announce something, it will be information that there are already cells with solid electrolyte. This could be beneficial for automotive companies that have not yet invested in lithium-ion cells, while also being a drama for existing cell makers such as Samsung SDI or LG Chem. New technology is a paradigm shift that resets all previous advances.

Of course, these are only considerations, but a great specialist. Worth Watching:
