Technical specifications

The main indicators that determine the applicability of this oil in technologies for reducing the wear of steel parts are the specifics of the change in the viscosity of the lubricant, its anti-corrosion activity and flammability in use. For industrial oil I-30A, these characteristics must correspond to the following values:

1. Density at room temperature, kg/m³ - 890 ± 5.
2. Kinematic viscosity, mm²/ s, at 50 ^°C - 28… 33.
3. Kinematic viscosity, mm²/ s, at 100 ^°C, no more than 6,5.
4. Flash point ^°C, not less than 190.
5. Thickening temperature, ^°C, not higher than -15.
6. Acid number in terms of KOH - 0,05.
7. Coke index 0,15.
8. Mass fraction of sulfur and its compounds, %, not more than - 0,5.
9. Maximum ash content,% - 0,05.

The presence of water, as well as the delamination of the oil during its long-term storage, is not allowed. The oil does not contain additives, and its viscosity must comply with international ISO VG46 standards.

At the special request of the customer, a control batch of industrial I-30A oil is subjected to a test for thermal stability. The verification procedure, in accordance with GOST 11063-77, consists in determining the intensity of the increase in viscosity after holding the substance for at least 5 minutes at a temperature of 200 ^°C. At the same time, a change in the values ​​of the tensile strength of the lubricating layer is established. The result is fixed after intensive deformation of the lubricant between the movable and fixed parts of a special measuring device - a thixometer. Other lubricants of a similar purpose can be subjected to similar testing - lubricants I-20A, I-40A, I-50A, etc.

In particularly critical cases, additional tests of I-30A oil for demulsification and colloidal stability are allowed. GOST 20799-88 does not provide for other additional anti-acid and anti-corrosion tests.

Application

The main scope of the oil in question is the technological lubrication of rubbing parts of machines and mechanisms that operate at moderate sliding speeds and not in an active oxidizing environment. However, modern practice expands the scope of I-30A oil. It has been proven that, for example, in motor vehicles it can be used to lubricate premium-class engines running on gas at any speed. In this case, the oil provides exceptional engine cleanliness and performance by helping to prevent the formation of carbon and ash deposits on pistons, in ring belt areas, on valves and valve stems, and in combustion chambers. With the systematic use of I-30A oil, the likelihood of carbon dioxide emissions is reduced, which is especially likely in two-stroke gas engines.

 

I-30A oil is also used for highly efficient lubrication of working tools, for metal forming, especially at high relative wear rates and increased sliding friction. It finds application as the main component of the working environment in technological processes of electrophysical processing of metals.

The price of this type of oil is determined by its manufacturer, as well as the form of packaging of the finished product:

• In canisters with a capacity of 10 liters - from 800 rubles.
• In canisters with a capacity of 20 liters - from 2100 rubles.
• In barrels with a capacity of 180-210 liters - from 12000 rubles.
