During the period of extremely low temperatures, the distribution network contains imported arctic diesel fuel with higher parameters and a higher price than domestic fuel.
If the fuels poured into car tanks retain their factory parameters, then in the conditions of the Polish winter there is no need to add additives that prevent the release of paraffins into the filter and fuel lines. However, the quality of motor fuels raises doubts among the authorities that control the retail trade network.

Therefore, in order to avoid immobilization of diesel vehicles, it is preferable to add improvers, especially when the temperature drops below minus 15 degrees. You should choose products of well-known petrochemical companies, which, unfortunately, have high prices.

During the period of low temperatures, many drivers note increased fuel consumption by the car engine and slow heating of the power unit and vehicle interior. To prevent the engine from cooling down in winter, users install flaps in the radiator grille that close the radiator air intake. This solution is effective on frosty days.
Thanks to him, part of the flow of cold air is cut off, which intensively receives heat from the radiator and the engine compartment. It should be emphasized that in modern cars the second air flow is directed to the lower part of the radiator through the holes in the bumper and these holes should not be blocked.
After installing the cover, it is necessary to check the readings of the device that measures the temperature of the coolant. Diaphragms should not be used when air is passing through the grille to the intercooler or to the air filter supplying the drive. With the onset of positive temperatures, the curtain must be dismantled.
