Is it really that good for her? Definitely yes, especially when it comes to mature skin. The action of rose hip oil can be compared to grape seed oil, which seems to be more popular in Poland. Perhaps this is due to its easier availability and lower price.

Rosehip oil and rose petal oil - which one to use? 

At the outset, a word of warning - when investing in rosehip oil, don't expect a crazy smell. The aroma of the product is mostly neutral, because it is created not from petals with fragrant essential oils, but from seeds.

You can also find rose petal oil on the market, but this is the so-called macerate. It is made on the basis of other oils, such as sweet almond or grape seed, in which the petals of a Bulgarian or Damascus rose are impregnated. Such oil has a slightly different effect than that obtained from rosehip seeds. It is very gentle and soothes and soothes the skin, but does not have such a strong anti-wrinkle effect.

Keep this in mind when choosing a care product. Also remember that damask rose oil can affect the skin differently depending on the base oil used in its production.

How does rosehip oil work? 

Favored by celebrities from all over the world, this oil exhibits the following effects:

Rosehip oil for face and body - how to apply? 

There are many ways to use this versatile product. One is to add a few drops to your favorite cream or lotion. If you prefer ready-made formulas, you can also opt for oil-infused products, such as Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Night Cream or Uoga Uoga, a beautifully scented, moisturizing body cream that combines the power of natural oils – not just rose hips. , but also from black cumin, argan, sesame and olive oils.

You can also use a two-phase facial cleansing oil. You can use the pure product or a few drops added to the cleansing milk to carry out the first phase, i.e. to remove greasy contaminants. Colored cosmetics or sebum are best absorbed by oils.

Do you want to enhance the effect of rosehip oil? Create a biphasic serum with it, also using deeply moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, aloe and bamboo gels or urea. For cleansing, you can also add some clay according to your skin's needs. The oil will encapsulate the moisturizing actives into the skin structure, which guarantees the best effect.

Before applying the oil as a mixture with a cream or serum (or pure, if you prefer this solution), you can also spray the skin with a hydrolate, which will restore the natural pH of the skin after cleansing, moisturize and soothe. Rosehip oil for hair - how to apply? 

You can choose ready-made cosmetics containing this oil. Damask rose extract is also readily used in hair products, such as Natura Siberica Arctic Rose Revitalizing Shampoo.
