Oil drain or suck?

Oil drain or suck? The method of extracting used engine oil is cheap, fast and modern - for a workshop, of course.

Workshops suggest replacing engine oil by sucking out used grease, arguing that this is a cheap, fast and modern method.

Oil drain or suck?

Modern and comfortable for the workshop, of course. However, it is technically preferable to give preference to traditional methods of completely draining used engine oil from the sump. Then you should replace the oil filter, replace the drain plug gasket, and if it is damaged, the drain plug. The next step is to fill in the nominal amount of oil, run the engine for a few minutes and check its level again with the dipstick.

Please note that a dry filter element absorbs a significant amount of engine oil.
