Drift masters in Nadarzyn. Close, fast, on the edge! 5th and 6th rounds behind! The 5th and 6th stages of the Drift Masters GP in Nadarzyn near Warsaw will go down in drifting history. There have never been such fights, such a number of aggressive attacks and pressure.

In Saturday's final, Petr Venchek of the BUDMAT Auto Drift Team defeated Adam Zalewski of the Redux Team, with Petr Venchek's teammate David Karkosik taking third place. On Sunday, the results of the 6th round were determined by David Karkosik (I), Pavel Borkowski (II) and James Dean (III). The atmosphere throughout the weekend, apart from the drift show on the track, was warmed up by the hot sun and musical performances by DJ Adamus, C-bool and Mad Mike.

The sports part of the competition started on Friday. The challenging, technical track, co-built with James Dean (European Drift Allstars Champion), has been thrilling players since its publication. No wonder then that the riders wanted to get on the track as soon as possible, which really required precision and experience. They say in the drifting community that drifting is the sport of one mistake, and this mistake on the track in Nadarzyn has been decisive more than once.

Saturday's qualifiers quickly selected the top 32 out of 16 riders in the competition. The first was Petrek Venchek, who scored the highest average after three attempts, followed by Marcin "Steve" Karzasty and David Karkosik. Saturday's stage of the pilots began after dark, and the first pair was Venchek - Sefer. Michal Bosser made his debut that day in the Drift Masters GP league. Hand in hand with Venchek, it was difficult for Sefer to catch up with his opponent. The weaker power of his car did not allow for an even battle. The second match of Saturday's TOP-XNUMX, of course, caused great dissatisfaction among the spectators: due to a car breakdown, Marcin Karzasti could not go, who had to say goodbye to the competition with the second result after qualifying and excellent form.

This evening a great comeback at the Drift Masters GP was made by a participant from the third pair. Bartek Stolarski, who qualified with the ninth result, is a legend in Polish drifting. Bartek rode in his pair with Pavel Grosh from Drift Patriot, who made many mistakes, straightened up and had to admit the superiority of a much more experienced colleague. There were some emotions in the fight between Pavel Borkovsky and Adam "Rubik" Zalevsky. A participant from Tsekhanov in the TOP-16 had to start on a replacement car, which, of course, influenced his driving style. Meanwhile, Rubik was about to get his way and advanced to the next round. Maciek Jarkiewicz was also missing, who could not cope with David Karkosik, who was ideally suited this season. Grzesiek Hypki of Drift Warriors also made a big mistake. Grzegorz was chasing Krzysek Romanowski a few centimeters closer at high speed. He did not have time to master his "Balbina" (BMW E30) and ended up in "Roman". This one went further, but due to a car breakdown, he had to withdraw from the competition.

The most anticipated fight in the Top 8 was the rivalry between Bartosz Stolarski and Piotr Wenchek. Venchek emerged victorious from this duel. On one of the last spacers, Stolarski lost control and hit the yellow Sky, which ultimately deprived him of his chances for promotion. In the TOP-4, we could watch the confrontation between Dina and Wencek - the best couple of the evening. On the way to this duel, James Dean was the first to eliminate Marcin Mospink, who, having got into a major accident in training, was forced to start with a spare car, which, of course, affected the quality of his drift. Dean also had a hard time in this match because he was driving a practice car borrowed from the BUDMAT Auto Drift Team with the steering wheel not on his learned side. However, he needed only technique and experience to get into the TOP-4 and meet Venchek here. It was this couple who gave the best drift show that evening. The participants grappled from the beginning to the end of the track, ideally in areas close to the thickness of the paint, with beautiful angles and speed, turned up by the constant attacks of the pursuer, they gave a unique show. But Wenchek was better in this match and stood on the starting line in the A final, where Adam Zalewski was waiting for him. Adam, having defeated Borkowski in the TOP-16, then dealt with Petrek Trojanek on the way to the final, then with David Karkosik and only lost to Vencek in the final. David Karkosik was third on the podium that evening.

There wasn't much time to celebrate as the Sunday qualifiers started in the morning. Their winner was Krzysek Romanowski, the second was James Dean, and the third was Piotr Wenchek. The first fight of the day was the fight between the winner of the qualifier and Jakub Stempen. The clear favorite was the popular "Roman", however, chasing the driver of a gray Nissan, he leveled his car and finished the competition in the TOP-16. Then Sebastian Matushevsky and Pavel Borkovsky entered the track. Two young tramps fought in a very close duel. Pavel Borkowski was promoted to the TOP-8 on the first try. Cuba Jakubowski and Roman Kolesar also fought in the TOP-16. The Slovak immediately ran away from the opponent, but at the end of the race he hit the board, which deprived him of the chances of reaching the TOP-8.

In the TOP 16, the fans also admired the fights of Pavel Grosz and Grzegorz Hyupka with the promotion of the pilot from Drift Warriors, David Karkosik and Robert Podles with the victory of the pilot of the pink "Landryna" and the rivalry between Bartosz Stolarski and Adam. Zalevsky. The 16-year-old Rubik had to admit the superiority of his more experienced opponent, as did Michal Sefer, who was eliminated by James Dean.

TOP 8 began with the victory of Pavel Borkovsky over Jakub Stempen. Then the fans saw James Dean and Cuba Jakubowski at the start. The Irishman emerged victorious from this work and was promoted to the TOP-4. Later, David Karkosik and Grzegorz Hipki fought at the TOP-8 level. The bout was won by a representative of the BUDMAT Auto Drift Team, and Piotr Wencek and Bartosz Stolarski also fought for getting into the TOP-4. After a fierce duel, the judges decided that Venchek was better.

On Sunday, fate again linked Peter Venchek and James Dean. This time it was also fierce, but after aggressive attacks from both sides, the Irishman was rated better. In the second match for the final, David Karkosik and Pavel Borkowski met, who dropped out and had to be content with the fight for third place. Here, after many exciting attacks, Borkowski won the duel with Wenczek. David Karkosik and James Dean made it to the final. It was another tough competition, close trips and contacts of both players with their wives. As a result, David Karkosik turned out to be better according to the judges and it was he who won the 6th round of the DMGP.

Over the weekend in Nadarzyn, for the first time in league history, a drifter competed in the Drift Masters Grand Prix. Karolina Pilarczyk, known as the Polish drift girl, didn't qualify either on Saturday or Sunday, but for the first start in the DMGP competition, she showed herself well.
