Mazda CX-50, a crossover inspired by North America

Built for adventure, the all-new Mazda CX-50 is inspired by North America and will only be sold in that market.

Introduced a few days ago, the Mazda CX-50 inspired its design in North America, especially its lifestyle, to provide driving dynamics that are more suited to all those customers who drive around the city, but who can also get out of the city. a way to explore other destinations and live adventures. Everything about this crossover is designed to offer the possibility of escape thanks to the naturally aspirated Skyactiv-G 2.5 engine, which is standard and can be replaced with a turbo version if the customer so desires. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive for more power on the road.

The Mazda Intelligent Drive Select system (known as Mi Drive) is also present in this car to provide it with various driving modes and accompany passengers along the way, regardless of terrain conditions. The interior, which features the full connectivity and infotainment capabilities already known from Mazda, can also be a safe interior that allows contact with nature through the panoramic sliding roof, which, at the same time, encourages the passage of outdoor air. This roof is a completely first for a Mazda vehicle of this type.

In addition to plenty of room for passengers, the Mazda CX-50 also has a very functional cargo area that can carry everything you need for your adventures. With this launch, the brand hopes to develop a full lineup of electrified and hybrid variants for this vehicle, which will be the first to leave production at Mazda's new Toyota Manufacturing (MTM) plant in Huntsville, Alabama. As planned, production will start from January 2022.

According to Mazda's official statement, the CX-50 was inspired by North America as it also represents the market it was intended for: the United States, Canada and Mexico.
