McLaren 720S Spider will be presented on December 8

Brutal McLaren 720S is about to get even windier

The McLaren 720S supercar is about to get a convertible variant, and the Spider version is being teased ahead of the December 8 show.

The brand itself has been tight-lipped about the details for now, saying only that "a new McLaren supercar is going to lift its roof next month."

But it doesn't take much detective work to identify the 720S as the convertible's culprit, which is the next step in the brand's promise to introduce 18 new models or derivatives (the first was the Speedtail).

Expect the Spider version to use a twin-turbocharged V8 that will generate 527kW at 7250rpm and 770Nm at 5500rpm. And while the convertible top will inevitably be heavier, don't expect much change from a blistering 2.9-100kph in XNUMX seconds.

By the way, the maximum speed should remain at the level of 340 km/h. What wind in your hair ...
