The F1 road car is designed to show the world what British engineers could do if they had carte blanche. And they got it.
It has been produced since 1993 in very few copies. McLaren F1 it is, first of all, a beautiful car. His line, sculpted by air, is still relevant and modern. Only the raised tire ridges and light beams betray its age, because otherwise this is a modern car.
From a mechanical point of view, it was a real gem: of course, the mid-engine and rear-wheel drive, but above all the chassis in carbon fiber monocoque, the first road car that had it.
La McLaren F1 it was truly revolutionary. There were three seats (the center was for the driver), the doors opened like scissors, and the power-to-weight ratio was astounding.

The engine back cover has been trimmed with a fine gold finish for better heat dissipation. In addition to the few "standard" copies, they were also produced 5 LM versions and 3 GT versions.

The LM was derived from the racing version of the GTR, but was even more powerful. 680 h.p. and 705 Nm of torque, with a mass less 60 kg compared to the standard road version. It had a huge rear wing for improved downforce and more direct steering.
