Measy U1A - the second youth of your TV

The Measy U1A is probably one of the smallest computers on the market. This mini dongle, running Android 4.0, will turn any TV into a modern Smart TV. The only requirement is a free HDMI port.

Measy U1A it looks like a big flash drive, but the USB plug is soldered to the HDMI plug. On the side of the device, you will find a USB socket, for example. for connecting a keyboard / mouse and microUSB - power connector. On the other hand, there is a second microUSB, a mini SD memory card port and a reset button hidden in a small recess. The body is made of metal coated with a rubber-like material.

Inside we find a very fast 1,2 GHz Cortex A10 processor and 1 GB of RAM. Everything is running Google Android version 4.0.4. Space for applications is 4 GB of flash memory. The HDMI output easily outputs images in FullHD resolution. We will display all multimedia files without problems, including films with Polish subtitles. The device connects to the network and the Internet thanks to the built-in wireless N standard with speeds up to 150 Mbps.

Ease of use

Installing the device comes down to placing Measy U1A to the HDMI socket of the TV and supplying power from the USB port of the TV or the included power adapter. We need a mouse to work, and the best solution is the Measy RC11 multifunction device described on the next page. Thus, we quickly and easily increased the capabilities of our TV. At the level of a running system, we can play any multimedia files, communicate via instant messages or browse the Internet. The device can also work with games from the Google Play store.
