A streetfighter must impress with performance, maneuverability and appearance. Ducati has proven that the heart of an urban conqueror does not always have to be a powerful engine.

The Italian company has unveiled the first photos and information about the Streetfighter 848. The novelty will complement the Streetfighter lineup, which until now has featured only monstrously powerful machines with 155 hp engines. and a volume of 1099 cc.

The heart of the novelty is the 11 ° Testastretta engine with a volume of 849 cc. This is a downsized version of the hugely successful unit that debuted in the Ducati Multistrada. The solutions used in the engine limited the frequency of checks for desmodromic valve timing, and also guaranteed high torque over a wide rev range. If necessary, the Italian temperament of the power unit will tame Ducati Traction Control.

Traditionally, the Italian company did not save on equipment. The novelty will receive a modified exhaust system, powerful Brembo brakes and even reinforced steel lines. Unfortunately, Ducati hasn't released technical details for the Streetfighter 848. Pricing also remains a mystery.

The motorcycle will arrive in showrooms in November, which means that the official premiere will take place during the EICMA exhibition in Milan. The car will be available in the traditional Ducati color red, as well as yellow and matte black, which should emphasize the aggressive nature of the equipment.
