Mercedes-AMG is preparing another supercar that will delight few

September marks 3 years since the premiere of the Mercedes-AMG Project One hypercar. At the time of the presentation, the car was positioned as a production prototype, but the model never left the assembly line, and, according to the most optimistic forecasts, this will only happen in 2021.

The German manufacturer is currently continuing testing, trying to adapt a powertrain taken from a Formula 1 car to a road car. And to make the wait for Project One buyers (there are exactly 275 of them) more pleasant, Mercedes-AMG has prepared a special offer for them. Only they will be able to own another exclusive AMG product - a special edition of the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, presented just a few days ago.

The circulation of the supercar will be approximately the same as that of the Mercedes-AMG Project One - 275 units. The special edition will be called the P One Edition and will be 50 euros more expensive than the standard GT Black Series, which has yet to be priced. The additional amount includes a two-color exterior and interior mock-up, which is inspired by the Mercedes-AMG F000 W1 EQ Power+ used in the 10 Formula 1 World Championship.

The extra charge seems like a big deal, but it's unlikely to be an issue for people who have already paid € 2 for the Mercedes-AMG Project One. It is still unclear if the new version will be technically different from the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, which relies on a 275-liter V000 with AMG GT4,0 and GT8 race car technology. The rear-wheel drive coupé delivers 3 hp, 4-730 km / h acceleration in 0 seconds and a top speed of 100 km / h.
