There are more and more cars in cities, fewer parking spaces, and fuel prices are getting higher and higher. In such conditions, buying a luxurious and, most importantly, large-sized car seems simply unreasonable. But what to do when we want to drive in comfort, comfort and in a big way, but do not want or cannot buy a car from the D or E segment? Is the latest Mercedes CLA a recipe for all evil?
Nowadays, buying a new car at a car dealership is not something in between. Even if we have a lot of money, we must compromise. For example, we can buy a large and comfortable car with poor equipment, or a slightly smaller, less prestigious but well-equipped model that will not make my son-in-law jealous, but will work in the city and will not cause parking problems. We can not always find something in between - such a golden mean. Mercedes searched and searched and finally found a certain niche in which the latest CLA fit perfectly.
Nowy Mercedes-Benz CLA offers a prestigious and very interesting design, good equipment and high comfort, all in a smaller, compact design. Many people say that this is a CLS model after a weight loss procedure. Yes, the line of the car is very reminiscent of its older brother CLS, but the dimensions and, of course, the price are much smaller. The car is located approximately in the middle between the small B-class and the quite comfortable and prestigious C-class, prices for which start at approximately 130 zlotys. If we want a well-equipped C-Class, for example the C350 BlueEFFICIENCY variant with 4MATIC all-wheel drive, we need to prepare up to PLN, which is a lot of money.
Mercedes CLA is also an expensive car. The basic version starts at PLN 118 and under the hood we find a 900-liter turbocharged engine with 1,6 hp. with a torque of 122 Nm. It accelerates from 200 to 0 km/h in 100 seconds and has a top speed of 9,3 km/h. Average fuel consumption in this variant is 210 l/5,5 km. Slightly higher is the CLA 100 model, with a more powerful turbocharged 200 engine with 1,6 hp. under the hood with a torque of 156 Nm. This variant accelerates from 250 to 0 km/h in 100 seconds and has a top speed of 8,6 km/h. Fuel consumption is approximately 230 l / 5,6km. Unfortunately, in this case, the price jumps to PLN 100 and we are still talking about a model without any extras.
If we dream of a small but powerful and elegant car, then we should pay attention to the Mercedes CLA 250 model, equipped with a 2,0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 211 hp. and a torque of 350 Nm. This power allows you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 6,7 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km / h. In this variant, power is sent to the wheels via a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. Unfortunately, the price of PLN 154 unwittingly makes us look at the offer of a larger model.
For fans of diesel units, the CLA 220 CDI model has been prepared, which is driven by a 2,2-liter engine with 170 hp. with a torque of 350 Nm. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in this model takes 8,2 seconds, and the top speed is 230 km/h. Of course, this is the most economical unit, consuming an average of 4,2-4,5 l / 100 km. Price? This is where the jokes end - PLN 172.
Prices are not low, but you have to remember that this is a premium car and it is always less than a well-equipped C-class, and here comes the dilemma. Whether Mercedes CLA is an alternative to C class or maybe CLS due to its similar style? In any case, the CLA model is not cheap.
Of course, you can choose the base model, but the car is certainly beautiful and impressive, but with a 122 hp engine. worth almost 120 zlotys? Probably, as many people as there are, so many opinions. The Mercedes CLA certainly makes a small revolution in the market and offers something new, fresh and interesting. Its appearance on the street is sure to please passers-by and other drivers, and we can't wait to see the first examples on the roads.
