Mercedes EQC and a discharged 12V battery? There are connectors under the hood, you can charge

Electric vehicles are usually more interactive than combustion models: they allow you to remotely control the air conditioner, start charging, etc. However, you should remember that the built-in electronics are powered by a 12V battery. In winter, it is worth recharging it even in brand-new cars - here's how to do it in the Mercedes EQC.

How to charge a 12V battery in a Mercedes EQC

The mobile app will warn us about a low voltage of a 12 V battery. A voltage below 11 V should make us act, i.e. drive or connect the battery to a charger, otherwise the car may be immobilized, as happened with our Reader.

In the Mercedes EQC, the battery electrode tips are located under the bonnet and can be found in the space in front of the passenger. More located closer to the windshield, hidden under the red sliding cover. Minus has been moved forward. Any connected microprocessor charger is enough for a few hours. We do not recommend Bosch Cx series devices.

It is worth remembering about battery charging in an electrician, especially when the car is not used very often. While driving, its good condition is provided by the converter, which takes energy from the traction battery, but when parking, some models "forget" about this and do not always report their near end.

This does not apply, in particular, to Hyundai-Kia cars, although they have an open rear door and about a dozen hours of parking is enough for the lamps illuminating the luggage compartment to discharge the 12 V battery to the bottom (see HERE).
