Maybach initially positioned itself as a manufacturer of luxury cars, one of which is now the Mercedes-Maybach 2015, and its history began with the design of engines for the Zeppelin airships. The new Mercedes-Maybach 2015 is available in two versions - S500 and S600, and is 20cm longer than the S-class sedan (5453mm), and the rear doors are 66mm shorter. The wheelbase is 3365mm.
The S500 has a turbocharged V8 in the engine compartment, producing 455 horses with a volume of 4,7 liters. The power unit is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. According to some reports, from June of this year, an option with an all-wheel drive system will be available.

The S600 received a bi-turbo V12 developing 530 horsepower and transmitting torque to the wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Both models accelerate to a maximum speed of 250 km / h, and gain a hundred in 5 seconds. In the combined cycle, fuel consumption is about 8,9 and 11,7 liters, respectively.

Externally, the Mercedes-Maybach S-class sedan still retains the recognizable Maybach design. Due to the shorter rear doors and the window placed behind the pillar, the car looks much more solid than its donor. The interior of the new Maybach
The interior of the S500 and S600 differs from the production models in a variety of luxury performance options and a large amount of space. In addition, there are a lot of optional improvements. The seats, as usual, are covered with high quality leather. Stripes of evening lights are striking, however, the Mercedes-Benz logos are on the doorsteps. The rear mats are made from virgin wool and the front mats are regular. There are folding airplane tables, a refrigerator between the rear seats, an analog IWC clock, displays on the front seats, cushion belts, and on the central tunnel a landing gear control button and a Comand washer.

The basic equipment of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has received the Personal Driver package. One of the features is the ability to increase rear passenger legroom by 77mm by moving the front seat forward. An optional air ionisation system with interior aromatization is installed.
