IN 8-liter twin-turbo V4,0 has a truly wild roar: breaks, shoots and makes a loud voice, especially from the side.

However, inside, despite the activated sports exhaust (there is also a button for this) the sound is pleasant, enticing, but muffled... The car is so well soundproofed that it robs you of a good part of the V-XNUMX acoustic rage; but on the other hand it is an S-class, and the buyer (in theory) wants it. It's the same with acceleration: pushes hard, it's a little bit true, but the sense of speed is overshadowed by the incredible comfort of the S-Class, and only by looking at the speedometer, you will understand how fast this S really is. On mountain roads and in Sport + mode, he displays a disarming composure. Coming out of tight corners, it grips strongly and rarely slips at the rear, while the gearbox is punctual and quick, as the best to handle, even harsh when it comes to seriousness.

SAFE THAN EXCITING

What is essentially missing is participation of little sisters E and C. This is not a criticism, it is a fact. S is more comfortable, quieter and heavier. As a result, braking does not inspire much confidence (powerful, but quickly lost), the steering is a little torn off, the car is stable, but does not want to play. I don't want to be misunderstood: although it weighs two tons and contains all this technology, it is maneuverable and incredibly well driven, but despite this, it does best on the motorway or at medium speeds, where you can enjoyendless acceleration AMG V8.
