Mini Cooper SD Countryman ALL4 Park Lane Edition Print Version

The Countryman is not only the biggest Mini, but for a reasonable (extra) price, it offers so many design details, details that need attention. Perhaps too much, as we were able to detect red lines on the hood, two ends of the exhaust system, a large (and opaque) speedometer, air switches on the center console and above the driver's head, different colors of the center panel, etc.

It's nice to discover something new every day that the designers have worked on a lot, but sometimes they even exaggerated their design approaches. So we immediately branded the Countryman as baroque. The trunk is large enough for family pressure, and the ability to adjust the rear seats longitudinally is also very convenient. The driver will be pleased with the technology, although for a family car, the chassis and steering, as well as the shifting of the manual transmission, are quite stiff and therefore more difficult to control. Sporty is understandably a Mini tradition, but I doubt anyone would buy a Countryman to experience the Mini Cooper S experience while cruising around town.

Turbodiesel, which is not bad with its 105 kilowatts, but is far from sporty, is no longer good for anything. We were only conditionally satisfied with the average consumption of about seven liters per 100 kilometers, but we must take into account that all four wheels were leading. Snow? Small snack. This still holds true: you are buying a compatriot with a shrewd heart and less sober thinking. Despite the larger space, it is still too difficult for the family, and the driver is worried about the opaque speedometer that is housed in the Cyclops' huge eye on the center console. Fortunately, there's also a digital speed display, and it's so enjoyable to drive that your heart starts beating faster even at low speeds.
