Al Los Angeles Auto Show 2019 Mini has unveiled a new generation of its most famous top of the line: John Cooper Works GP 2020... It will be produced and sold from next year.  с limited edition of 3.000 pieces designed for all markets in the world. Power over 300 hp

Starting with a beating heart, the new Mini John Cooper Works GP is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine in an unprecedented redesign, capable of producing up to 306 hp. in the range from 5.000 to 6.250 rpm and 450 Nm of maximum torque in the range from 1.750 to 4.500 rpm. This powertrain allows the angry little Anglo-German to accelerate from 100 to 5,2 km / h in 265 seconds and reach a top speed of XNUMX km / h. Also, for the first time Mini John Cooper Works GP it will only be offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive and a mechanical limited-slip differential. A cooling and lubrication system, an exhaust system and an intake system have also been specially developed for this version. 

Innovative aerodynamics

Aesthetically new Mini John Cooper Works GP it is easily recognizable, above all, by its attractive body kit with a huge fixed rear wing mounted on the roof, and by the new "blades" mounted on the wheel arches. Other details include enlarged air intakes and a hole in the bonnet for engine cooling, extended carbon fiber wheel arches and 18-inch forged wheels with painted red brake calipers (four-piston front).

Even in the cockpit new Mini John Cooper Works GP 2020 You can breathe pure racing air thanks to features such as protective seats, a perforated leather steering wheel, metal gear levers and a special 3D printed dashboard trim. The rear seats and soundproof covers have been removed to save weight.
