Japan, as you know, is a left-hand drive country, so the automotive industry produces cars with right-hand drive for the domestic market. However, in most countries of the world, right-hand drive and in order to advance, companies have to produce cars with both left-hand drive and right-hand drive. Japan, of course, succeeded in this matter, and especially the giant of the auto industry - Toyota.

We have already paid much attention to the Toyota brand on the pages of our Vodi.su portal. In this article I would like to talk about Toyota minivans with left-hand drive.

Toyota ProAce

ProAce, in essence, is the same Citroen Jumpy, Peugeot Expert or Fiat Scudo, only the nameplate hangs differently. The ideal van for cargo transportation (Panel Van), there are also passenger options (Crew Cab).

ProAce Parameters:

  • wheelbase - 3 meters, there is also an extended version (3122 mm);
  • length - 4805 or 5135 mm;

The minivan is produced at a plant in northern France and is intended for European markets, production is carried out jointly with Fiat and the Peugeot-Citroen Group. First presented to the general public in 2013.

It is worth saying that the minivan fully complies with European environmental standards, the level of CO2 emissions is within the Euro5 norm. The car is equipped with three types of 4-cylinder DOHC diesel engines:

  • 1.6-liter, 90 hp, acceleration to one hundred km / h - 22,4 seconds, max. speed - 145 km / h, average consumption - 7,2 liters;
  • 2-liter, 128-horsepower, acceleration - 13,5 seconds, speed - 170 km / h, average consumption - 7 liters;
  • 2-liter, 163-horsepower, acceleration - 12,6 seconds, maximum speed - 170 km / h, consumption - 7 liters in a combined cycle.

Load capacity reaches 1200 kilograms, capable of pulling a trailer weighing up to two tons. Equipped with one or two sliding doors, depending on the selected configuration. The internal volume of space is 5, 6 or 7 cubes. In a word, Toyota ProAce is an indispensable assistant for small or medium-sized businesses, if, of course, you can pay 18-20 thousand euros for it. In Moscow, it is not officially represented in salons.

Toyota Alphard

Powerful, comfortable and dynamic minivan, designed for 7-8 passengers. Today, an updated version with a very noticeable facelift is available in Russia, just look at the grille. The minivan belongs to the Premium class, so its prices start from two million rubles.

Toyota Verso S

Verso-S is an updated version of the beloved five-door microvan Toyota Verso. In this case, we are dealing with a shortened base on the Toyota Yaris platform. In Russia, the price for it starts at 1.3 million rubles.

What is interesting about this car?

Firstly, it has become more compact and aerodynamic, the exterior design is very similar to the Toyota iQ - the same streamlined shortened hood, smoothly flowing into the A-pillars.

Secondly, five people can comfortably fit inside. There are all passive safety devices: ISOFIX mounts, side and front airbags. The driver will also not get too tired while driving, since various systems are installed to help him: ABS, EBD, traction control, Brake-Assist.

There are other cars in the Toyota lineup that deserve special attention. If we talk specifically about 7-8-seater cars, then at the moment the most popular are:

  • Toyota Sienna - An update has been released that can be purchased exclusively in North America. For an 8-seater minivan, you will have to pay from 28,700 US dollars. We have already mentioned it several times on Vodi.su, so we will not repeat ourselves;
  • Although Toyota Sequoia is not a minivan, but an SUV, it is worthy of attention, eight passengers can easily fit. True, the prices are going through the roof - from 45 thousand USD;
  • Land Cruiser 2015 - for an updated 8-seater SUV in the US, you need to pay from 80 thousand dollars. It has not yet been officially presented in Russia, but it is expected that it will cost from 4,5 million rubles.
