Electric motorcycle world speed record: 306.74 km / h [video]

A new world speed record for an electric motorcycle has just been set in the Mojave Desert, California, with the Swigz Pro Racing team hitting 190.6 mph or 306,74 km / h. However, the record is not official as it has not been approved. Chip Yates's (biker) crew might even have done well and topped 200mph if a little technical issue hadn't ruined the party. And since they were only allowed two attempts, it will be next time. During test periods, this bike has already hit 227 mph (365 km / h).

The performance took place during the Mojave Mile Sprint Race, where you can compete with other competitors and show what your motorcycle or car has in your belly.

An electric motorcycle, 241 horsepower and lithium batteries made it possible to achieve this performance.
