Mobile information system for people going on vacation
The National Safety Experiment launches a mobile traffic information system for people traveling by car on the first weekend of summer vacation. From 24 to 26 June this year. we will send reports on the current situation on the country's roads to mobile phones. We want your holiday travels to be smooth and uninterrupted, and therefore safe!
Avoid traffic jams on national roads and use convenient detours - especially such tips during the weekend of June 24-26 this year. will be received by drivers using the SMS Info system. To order the service, all you have to do is send an SMS request to 71551 (fee: PLN 1 + VAT), indicating in the text of the message the codes of the provinces from which you want to receive information. You can enter up to three codes in one declaration, separating each of them with a dot, for example, DS.OP.SL (Lower Silesian, Opole, Silesian).

Where do accidents come from?
During last year's national security experiment, 200 drivers were sent to drivers. SMS. In them, we reported on constant roadblocks, as well as accidents, road blockages caused by pilgrim marches, local road floods caused by storms, and organized detours.
The information provided to drivers comes from traffic information points that operate in all branches and headquarters of the General Directorate of National Roads and Highways. The points monitor the situation on national roads 24 hours a day and provide drivers with information by phone (phone numbers are available on the website www.gdddkia.gov.pl).

The organizer of the National Safety Experiment “Weekend Without Victims” is the General Directorate of Roads and Highways of the country and project partners: the National Road Safety Council, the Ministry of Health, the General Directorate of the State Fire Service, the General Directorate of Police, PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA, the General Directorate of Military police, the Polish Medical Rescue Service and the Main Road Transport Inspectorate. Honorary patronage was taken over by the Minister of Infrastructure.
