Models of Toyota Funcargo engines

Models of Toyota Funcargo engines The Toyota Funcargo is a compact minivan based on the Toyota Vitz and aimed at the younger generation. The interior of the cabin is almost completely similar to the Toyota Vitz, but there are some differences on the technical side.

For example, the length of the wheelbase has increased by 130 mm. Sales of the car began in August 1999, and the last copy left the assembly line in September 2005. Despite the unusual appearance, Funcargo began to enjoy great popularity due to its spaciousness, unpretentiousness and price.

What engines were installed?

There are no diesel units among the Funcargo engine line. Toyota Funcargo was equipped with only two options for gasoline four-cylinder engines with a direct cylinder arrangement and a VVT-i system:

  • 2NZ-FE with a volume of 1,3 liters. and a power of 88 hp. (NCP20 body)
  • 1NZ-FE with a volume of 1.5 liters, a power of 105 hp with all-wheel drive (NCP25 body) and 110 hp. at the front (NCP21 body).

At first glance, it may seem that the engines are too weak. But from the reviews of the owners, it becomes clear that this is quite enough for a car weighing about 1 ton. And environmental friendliness, low gas mileage, and a small transport tax distinguish Toyota Funcargo from other competitors.
