How can a regular headlight be converted to xenon? You have to remove the halogen bulb from the headlight, cut a hole in the cover, insert the xenon bulb into the reflector and connect the ignitor to the car installation. A vehicle with such modified headlights poses a safety hazard as it causes severe dazzle to other drivers. Experts have found that the light beam created by a lamp designed for halogen lamps and power a xenon bulb that exceeds the dazzle limit by a factor of XNUMX. Such dipped beam headlamps no longer have a cut-off line and cannot be adjusted correctly.

However, there are xenon lamp kits that can be installed legally. It includes homologated headlights (for example, with an E1 symbol on the outer windshield), automatic headlight leveling and a windshield wiper system - both mandatory for low beams in accordance with ECE R48 and European traffic regulations.
