Monday M1: the electric bike for the city

Californian company Monday Motorcycles, founded by alumnus Zero Motorcycles, presents its first creation: an electric two-wheeled motorcycle called the M1 with a retro design that sits halfway between motorcycle and bicycle.

A nod to motorcycles from the 70s and 80s, the M1 is reminiscent of the scramblers of yesteryear, except that you really need to listen to its 100% electric and silent motor.

In "economy" mode, the M1 meets California standards for electric bikes with a maximum speed of 32 km / h. In "sport" mode, it is closer to a bike with a maximum speed of 64 km / h and power, not specified by the manufacturer, is sufficient for climbing the most difficult hills of San Francisco.

With a removable 2,2 kWh battery, the M1 requires 60 kilometers of battery life. In the center of the steering wheel, the screen displays basic data related to energy consumption and the remaining range, as well as a USB port for recharging the mobile device. Bluetooth connectivity for smartphones is also part of the game.

Sold for $ 4500, Monday M1 is currently only available in the United States. International deliveries will not begin until 2018.
