To emphasize this, it is necessary to use appropriate substances, called dyes, in the production process. They are also necessary to make the surface of the furniture more resistant to damage. How to paint wood? Initial preparations 

To effectively stain a tree, you will need to prepare the site in advance and stock up on certain accessories. First of all, make sure the room is not too cold or too hot. The optimum temperature for the dyeing process is from 5 to 30 degrees Celsius. Rather, do not do it on the balcony on hot days, or in an unheated garage in winter. Sand the surface with 100-200 grit sandpaper before painting. Then carefully clean and degrease the wooden surface, it is advisable to remove dust with a brush immediately before painting. If the furniture has previously been varnished or other paint, peeled and scratched remains of which still spoil the furniture, you may need to use a thinner beforehand.

Which coloring brush to choose? 

For a small area, use a special small cloth or sponge. Use a rag or sponge to cover details, elements at the edges, corners, etc., that is, all hard-to-reach places. If you need to paint a large area, it's better to have a brush. For stain, it is best to choose a flat model, without a handle, thanks to which you can make more comfortable movements by rubbing the substance into the surface. It should have soft bristles. Manufacturers' descriptions usually clearly indicate whether a given brush is suitable for stain work.

A newly purchased brush, even a good quality brush, may start with bristles. To avoid this, dip it in clean water and gently remove broken or sticky hair.

How to apply wood stain on wood surface? 

The stain application process is slightly different from traditional painting. You can apply more stain, and it is even desirable to make it a little more. Do not pull the brush gently, but press it hard against the base to work the stain into the wood structure. The movement of the hand should be directed along the fibers.

If you plan to apply a second coat, wait until the first coat is completely dry. The exact time will be indicated on the product packaging. After staining, remove protruding wood fibers with sandpaper. Finally, vacuum and thoroughly clean the surface.
