The San Francisco Bridge will shine

The Bay Bridge, the second famous bridge in San Francisco after the Golden Gate, will be the first bridge of its kind in the world to be illuminated by LED lights. 25000 LEDs will be placed on the structure in honor of its 75th anniversary.

The name of the project, authored by Leo Villareal, an artist known for such installations, is Lights Bay. According to the plan, the launch of lighting should take place on March 5. It will be possible to admire them for the next two years. A team of several electricians is working on installing a large lighting system that weaves a dense network of wires around the spans of the bridge. The authors of the project do not disclose what the electricity bill will be?
