2021 Mustang Mach-e Meets EPA Estimated Range Rating, Reaches 300 Miles of Extended Range

The Mustang Mach-E is not only Ford's first electric SUV, but also the first Mustang to be adapted as a crossover.

Ford announced on November 23 that they have already completed the United States Environmental Protection Agency's rank certification processes for various editions of the all-electric 2021 Mustang Mach-E.

"This completion comes at the perfect time as the Mustang Mach-E prepares to hit the road," said Ford Motor Company's Global Director of Battery Electric Vehicles.

Extended-range premium rear-wheel drive Mustang Mach-E met EPA-estimated range of 300 miles, extended-range four-wheel drive model met EPA-estimated 270 miles, Mustang Mach-E standard-range rear-wheel drive reached its estimated 230-mile range, and the standard-range four-wheel-drive model exceeds its 210-mile target range, with 211 miles

As if that wasn't enough, the SUV had an update that changed its power output, giving it more horsepower (hp). The standard Mach-E gets an extra 11 hp. for both RWD and AWD models, with both versions receiving an 11 lb-ft increase in torque. The extended range model gets an 8 bhp increase. and 11 lb-ft of torque.

The biggest change concerns extended-range all-wheel drive, which now has 14 hp. and 11 lb-ft of torque over previous ratings.

In the United States, Ford will begin deliveries of the Mustang Mach-E in December.
