We know the winners of the 6th edition of the Academy of Inventors Robert Bosch

On June 20, the final gala concert of the 6th graduation of the Academy of Inventors Robert Bosch took place at the Warsaw University of Technology. The first place in the invention competition was taken by the Migache project. The device acts as a portable bicycle signal device that activates when turning. The invention is intended to improve the safety of cyclists on the road.

In this year's edition of the program, high school students submitted a record XNUMX invention ideas. Of these, the jury selected the ten best projects from Warsaw and Wroclaw, which advanced to the second stage of the competition. The task of the finalists was to prepare prototypes of the presented inventions. A jury consisting of representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology and Wrocław University of Technology, content and media partners, selected the three best projects from both cities. The following criteria were evaluated: low implementation costs, the possibility of wide use and the impact of the device on the natural environment.

Projects awarded in Warsaw:

I place – the “Spółdzielnia idea” team from Bilingual Secondary School No. 42 im. Hero of the Warsaw Uprising in Warsaw - for the invention of "Migache". This is a portable automatic beacon that acts like a bicycle marker thanks to its flashing LEDs. The device is designed to improve the safety of cyclists on the road.

second place - command "Stop!" from incomplete secondary school No. 13 S. Staszic in Warsaw - for the invention of "Safe Passage". It warns pedestrians with an LED of an approaching vehicle at high speed.

"Safe Passage" (XNUMXth place)

third place - the NSDS team from the junior high school No. 121 named after. V. Zavadsky in Warsaw - for the project "Lumenog Gniazdoko". The invention makes it easier to get into an electrical outlet in the dark.

As part of the 6th edition of the program, Bosch and the Polytechnic University provided almost 1500 places in fifty creative workshops. XNUMX schools participated in the program.

About the program

The Robert Bosch Inventors Academy is an educational program for junior high school students that Bosch has been running in Poland since 2011. Its goal is to popularize among young people science - mathematics, physics, technology - and interest in their technical universities, which can lead to an increase in the future of engineering personnel in Poland and promote talented youth. At the moment, 7600 students have participated in the project, who presented 2014 ingenious inventions. The program was awarded the Social Campaign of the Year 2015 in the nomination Corporate Educational Programs (CSR). In the edition of this XNUMX plebiscite, the project received a special award.
