MyTaxi: Daimler subsidiary locates its electric scooters in Lisbon

MyTaxi, owned by the Daimler group, has just launched its first self-service electric scooters on the streets of Lisbon with a new service called Hive.

In total, MyTaxi offers about 400 scooters through the new Hive service. Although he is currently affiliated with Segway for his scooters, Daimler and MyTaxi will eventually plan to develop their own equipment.

Modeled after competitors' offerings, MyTaxi will offer its electric scooters "free float" for 15 cents per minute, or around € 5 for 30 minutes of use. Pilot territory for Daimler, which should allow checking the relevance of the model and its possible expansion to other European cities.
