What to pay attention to when filling out a layout for a first grader?

Although the holidays are still underway, many parents are already thinking about September. Providing first graders with school supplies can be quite a challenge, but a rational approach to the topic allows you to keep your cool and save a little.

A first-grader is a subject that invariably arouses great interest among parents whose children have just received a matriculation certificate and are waiting for the first school bell. Regardless of whether the children return to school in September or not, school supplies will be needed anyway.

In order to be well prepared for such a big change in our child's life, we should start filling out the school supplies list long before the first bell rings. Then we will not only calmly make all the purchases, but we will also be able to distribute expenses, which will be more beneficial for the household budget - especially when the debutant has older brothers and sisters who also need to be properly served. Available until September 1st.

Linen is first-class - what should be in it?

Whether we are debuting as a parent of a school student or we already have experience in the subject, building a playground can pose some challenges. So, let's start with what must be there:

  • Tornister – adapted to the age and height of the child, ergonomic and ensure the correct posture,

  • Pencil case – a sachet or with elastic bands and the possibility of putting things in it, depending on your needs,

  • Change of shoes and tracksuit - most often it is a light-colored T-shirt and dark shorts, also schools can adjust the colors to match the colors of the school. A bag will also come in handy in which you can pack the outfit,

  • Textbooks – in accordance with the list provided by the school,

  • A laptop – 16 lined sheets and 16 squared sheets.

Cast: school bag and pencil case.

Where to start filling the layette? First of all, we need an ergonomic and well-designed school bag that will not only accommodate the necessary textbooks and a lot of school supplies, but also provide our child with comfort, safety and maintain the correct posture. When choosing the ideal briefcase model, pay attention to the reinforcement and profiling of the back of the backpack, as well as the width of the shoulder straps and the possibility of their adjustment. The capacity of the backpack should not be the deciding factor when buying. It is worth remembering that the larger the school bag, which the child will be happy to unpack to the brim with his treasures, the greater the load on the back.

In the ranking of the most necessary things, immediately after the backpack is a pencil case - an absolute must-have for every new student! This is where the motley dizziness begins, a lot of patterns and shapes can make it difficult to choose. The easiest solution is probably to buy a pencil case with accessories, which usually includes colored markers, a pen, crayons, a sharpener, an eraser, and a ruler.

If we have already purchased some or all of the accessories, we can simply select the pencil case without any accessories.

The difficult art of writing

When choosing a standard pencil case fittings, unfortunately, we do not have the opportunity to choose the quality and type of individual writing instruments. Therefore, if we want to provide a child with ergonomic accessories and provide him with comfort when learning to write, it is better to choose a pencil case without accessories and complete the most necessary elements yourself. So what exactly?

All! Starting with pencils and ballpoint pens, through colored gel pens, ending with a fountain pen or a ballpoint pen. For a first grader who is just starting to learn to write, pencils and pens with a special shape or triangular grip are best. As you know, getting started can be difficult - you can easily correct mistakes thanks to removable pens equipped with an eraser that easily erases ink.

If your child is left-handed, choose a pencil and pen specifically designed for left-handers. This will make it easier for him to learn calligraphy, increase the comfort of writing and prevent hand fatigue and loss of strength from studying this difficult art. Gel pens are useful for drawing colored lines and underlining. Thanks to them, every page will look beautiful!

To learn how to write, of course, you will need notebooks - preferably 16 - pages with squares and three lines, and a student diary.

Draw, cut, color and glue

The writing is followed by drawing and unlimited creative self-expression in the form of coloring with paints, modeling from plasticine, cutting and pasting from colored paper. What will your child need?

First of all, crayons, both candle and pencil.

  • Kredki

Keeping in mind the convenience of the child and the formation of the correct grip, it is worth purchasing triangular crayons that fit perfectly in the child's hand and contribute to the effective use of the tool. If we buy felt-tip pens with easily replaceable ink. In addition, a sharpener with a container for chips, a good eraser - it is best to buy several at once, because these little things, unfortunately, like to get lost.

  • Paper

A first grader will also need paper - and in a variety of forms: from a classic drawing block, through a technical block with cardboard pages, to colored paper and multi-colored blotting paper, from which our child will conjure fantastic flowers, animals and decorations.

  • Scissors

Cuts and cuts require safety scissors, preferably with a soft handle and rounded tips. Remember that for left-handers there are ergonomic scissors with an adjustable blade, which greatly increases the comfort of their use. In art education classes, decorative scissors with specially shaped blades can also come in handy, with which you can easily cut attractive patterns on paper. The cutout kit will complement the glue stick.

  • Zestav do Malania

The top of the school supplies for first graders will be a drawing set that includes watercolors and poster paints, as well as brushes, a water container with a lid to prevent accidental spills, and a folder with an elastic band for storing drawings. And let's not forget about plasticine, which first-graders simply adore!

Agree, there are quite a lot of them, but if we consider that in early September our baby will begin a new stage of intensive study and knowledge of the world, then we will understand that in this situation it is best to stock up on a large supply of school supplies and supplies. Especially if we don’t want to hear after some time in the middle of the night: “Maaamu, and the lady ordered to bring tissue paper, plasticine, colored paper and four tubes of green paint!”
