Every car enthusiast, at least once, but faced with a punctured wheel at the wrong time or with a disassembled wheel on the road, when there is no tire service nearby. This can happen for many reasons, for example, a raid on the curb (and you can disassemble the wheel even by unsuccessfully hitting the curb when parking), hitting an unevenness (pit) and any other cases that leave your tubeless wheel without air.

What to do if your wheel is disassembled?

If you put on / take off the tire, having at least a small assembly, it will not be difficult. If you have a camera, then this will be enough for repairs, pump up the camera and go. And if there is no chamber .. And in order to pump up a tubeless wheel, it is necessary that the inner edge of the tire be dressed on the so-called hump disk. Hump ​​- ring protrusions on the disc that allow you to tightly hold the tire. Humps are marked in the photo.

“Pumping up” the wheel with gasoline, gas or ether

In order to “throw” the inner rim of the tire onto the humps, you can use either gasoline, gases or ether (in fact, any combustible substance, for example, ether is used in a car cylinder called “Quick Start”). Be careful, use flammable substances in minimal quantities. Now directly the algorithm of actions:

1. Unscrew the nipple at the wheel
2. We launch the combustible mixture inside the tire (slightly bending the tire so that the fuel is mainly inside)
3. On the tire, you can leave a small “path” of a combustible substance to make it easier to set fire to. (so that you do not burn your hand during arson)
4. When the liquid catches fire, you need to hit the edge of the tire either with your foot or with any other object at hand and, as it were, push the burning side of the tire inward, after which the liquid inside will ignite and put the tire on the humps with a small explosion. After that, we recommend that you wait a little for the reaction inside the tire to end.
5. Now the wheel can be pumped without forgetting to tighten the nipple first.

Many inexperienced motorists think that the tire is inflated when ignited, but this is not so. This procedure only serves to “throw” the inner rim of the tire onto the hump, then it immediately deflates and a pump or compressor comes into play.
