Nantes: 1400 e-bikes for long term rental

Reaffirming JCDecaux's confidence in the Bicloo self-service system, Nantes Métropole announces the introduction of a new long-term rental service.

Reserved for residents, students and employees of Nantes Métropole with a minimum duration of one year, the new service will have a fleet of at least 2.000 bicycles, 70% of which are electric.

In terms of costs, a classic bike will cost 20 euros per month, and an electric bike 40 euros. In a year, the price is 120 euros for a classic bike and up to 240 euros for an electric one. In all cases, the service includes repairs. At the moment we do not know the characteristics of the models that will be offered.

On the self-service side, JCDecaux will renew the entire Bicloo bike fleet, which will be increased to 1230 bikes, up from 880 bikes today. The scope of the service will also be expanded by adding 20 additional stations. Some 26 existing stations will also be expanded. On the other hand, the service will remain on classic and non-electric models.
