Reminded of the new Porsche Cayenne 2020: the second leak risk in a week concerns almost 200 SUVs

The Porsche Cayenne has been recalled for the second time in a week.

Porsche Australia is recalling the large Cayenne SUV for the second time in a week, again at risk of a leak.

However, unlike the last recall, this recall concerns unnamed entry-level variants of the Cayenne station wagon and coupe, as well as a potential problem with the transmission oil line, which may have a compromised weld on the parts supplier's production line.

Therefore, 19 MY3 model year 2019s sold between September 189 and December 2020, 20 may have transmission fluid leaks.

If fluid leaks while the vehicle is in motion, it may cause an accident and therefore increase the risk of injury to occupants and/or other road users.

Porsche Australia will contact affected owners by mail and offer to order their vehicle from their preferred dealership for a free repair.

However, service technicians won't be able to complete the job until parts arrive next month.

In the meantime, if affected owners notice their vehicle is leaking, Porsche Australia says they should park it safely and contact their preferred dealer immediately.

Those seeking further information can visit the Porsche Australia website or contact their preferred dealership during business hours.

A full list of Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved can be found on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's ACCC Product Safety Australia website.
