Our Community - Wheels 4 Hope

Lack of transport can put someone's life at a standstill. 

This limits access to food and services, makes it difficult to get to work and get children to school on time. This can isolate the person from family and friends. It can turn your daily commute into a multi-kilometer walk in any weather.

Wheels4Hope is a faith-based organization that provides people in need of transportation with used, reliable cars at an affordable price. 

How does it work?

They start with donated cars, which typically have a retail value of $2,000 to $4,000. These cars can be in any condition, so in-house mechanics and volunteers evaluate the cars to determine the repairs that need to be done. 

After the cars are evaluated and repaired, they are sold to people who have been referred to the program by partner agencies of Wheels4Hope. The price is always 500r.

With the help of many organizations and community members, Wheels4Hope has provided reliable vehicles to over 3,000 people in our area.

Public partnership

As part of its contribution to our community, Chapel Hill Tire donates the labor required to keep donated vehicles safe and reliable. We are grateful that we can contribute to their work and provide reliable transportation to people who need it.

They have been a partner for over a decade and will never turn down a repair we send them,” said Lisa Bruska, CEO of Wheels4Hope. “Usually we have a car in each of their offices at any given time. This is a huge donation and without them we wouldn't be able to do what we do."
