Do not put on the handbrake

This advice will seem ridiculous to many motorists, but it is still better to heed this advice. If you leave the car for a short parking, then you can, even need to put on the handbrake. And if you leave the car overnight, especially after wet and rainy weather, it is better to just put it on speed.

After rainy weather, the brake cylinders and pads of the car get water and they can rust, even in a short period of time. Once, leaving the car in the parking lot for a few days, put it on the handbrake. A few days later, I went out to the car, I had to go to the city. But he tried to move, and the car stands still as it has grown into the ground. Tried to pull back and forth, but to no avail.

In this case, only tapping on the rear brake drums with a cylinder wrench helped, I probably had to knock for about five minutes, until a sharp, resonant click was heard, and it became clear that the brake pads had moved away. After this incident, I no longer put the car on the handbrake if I leave it for a day or more. Now I just put on speed, now the pads will definitely not jam.
