Don't forget to clear your car of snow

Snow, and especially frost, is a big problem for drivers who keep their car outdoors. Every morning the question arises: will it burn. Unfortunately the car won't start very often. Difficult road conditions are also a problem. They also need to be prepared.

If we have a slightly older car and haven't changed the battery in a while, we should definitely check its condition. Even a good battery won't work properly if the alternator that charges it fails. Therefore, it is best to have your car checked at a trusted service station.

When the car does not start right away, but you can see that it is "spinning", do not turn the key again. You have to wait a while, turn on the parking lights briefly to activate the battery to work, and then try to light it. If we are still having trouble starting the engine, we will need the help of a car owner who has a working battery and the proper cables to connect the batteries. With this help, you can usually fire.

If not, try using a car charger - preferably for charging a variety of batteries, both acid and gel. After charging the battery for 10-15 minutes, you can try to start the engine. If this does not help, leave the battery fully charged.

Seasonal tire changes have become the norm. However, drivers often assume that winter tires alone are sufficient for safe driving. This is a false sense of security - the tires themselves do not guarantee that we will not skid; speed is also important.

Snow removal from a car is sometimes underestimated. We see that drivers sometimes set off on a journey with snow-covered, icy windows: side, rear, and sometimes front. Don't forget to clean the roof too. A snow cap on the roof can slip onto the windshield during hard braking and reduce visibility.

Damaged wipers leave streaks and stains on the glass. On days when the temperature drops below zero, the rubber becomes harder and does not stick to the glass. Then it is best to replace worn-out wipers or install new rubber bands. It's short and inexpensive. In winter, do not use the wipers on a partially frozen windshield, as the edges will chip off.

Dirty windows significantly reduce visibility and interfere with a real assessment of the traffic situation. A car that did not have snow on it can be fined from 20 to 500 zł. The license plate must also be legible and the front and rear light lenses clean.
