There is no spare wheel. Will a repair kit help in winter?
Problems can arise if you do not have a spare tire in severe frosts. Recently popular wheel repair kits and wheel sprays work poorly or do not work at all in sub-zero temperatures.
In most modern cars, drivers will not find a spare tire, only a repair kit. “I've been driving a BMW X5 for three years and I'm only now seeing how big of a problem the lack of a spare tire is,” explains one of the drivers.
Repair kits can help with small leaks. However, experts admit that sealing even a small hole is a big problem. During frost, the sealant thickens and remains in the container. Only gas and solvent are released.
