Incredible lightning melted part of the interior of the Ford Super Duty

Driving in a storm is dangerous enough, but parking to avoid danger can be even more dangerous. The Ford Super Duty was struck by lightning while it was parked and everything inside melted.

When you drive your car on the roads, you encounter thousands of things on the road, from an accident with a pedestrian or other vehicle, to animal encounters on the road, black hole-like potholes, and even storms so strong that it makes it difficult for the driver to seewhich makes driving even more challenging than it could be.

And it is that if you have never been caught in a storm while driving, it is also quite stressful and dangerous as you can even become a victim of lightning. If you've never seen it, you should know that this is quite a tumultuous event.. I doubt there is such a thing as soft lightning, but when a lot of metal and electrical systems are involved, things get even more dramatic.

Ford Super Duty melted down by lightning

The aftermath of such an incident is rarely seen, but we have just that with images of this toasty Ford Super Duty.

Outside, looks like a cracked windshield; in reality, however, it is much more. The view from the driver's seat shows a blackened and melted mess with the same badly charred windshield.. Luckily, as Eric Wilkinson explained, no one was in the truck at the time.

Luckily the car didn't move.

The latch hit just to the right of dead center, widening the gap between the glove box and the HVAC controls. It also runs from top to bottom in thermally stretched plastic that dangles from the top storage compartment. Nothing in the lightning strike line is unscathed, which is to be expected when 300 million volts come into contact with anything..

The truck was apparently parked outside the dealership when the storm hit. If he had moved at that time, the result could have been even worse. With such a strong shaking in a car whose systems depend on each other, it will most likely remain uncontrollable.

Wilkinson's Facebook post has received more than 20,000 shares since Tuesday morning. If the owner had a dollar for each share, he could have enough to fix his pickup truck or put a deposit on another. Perhaps the new electric car from the Blue Oval firm, which has already captured the attention of fans thanks to its incredible towing capabilities and engine power, although we're not sure it can avoid lightning.
