Netherlands: motorcycle racing helmets are mandatory from 1st January 2017.

According to the Dutch press, wearing a helmet in the Netherlands will soon become a must for anyone who owns a fast electric bike, speed bike.

The Dutch government has decided! Speed ​​bike users will be required to wear a special helmet from 1 January 2017. This helmet, slightly different from helmets on regular bicycles, will include additional reinforcements associated with the higher speed of these bicycles, which can reach 45 km / h.

Please note that the legislation will not apply to traditional e-bikes that do not exceed 25 km / h.
