Nismo: increasing power is not the main thing for cars

According to the chief product specialist of the company Horisho Tamura, engine tuning is not the main point when it comes to creating Nismo models.

“Chassis and aerodynamics must come first. They need increased strength, as in the case of an increase in power, an imbalance can occur,” he explained.

Nismo currently offers several of its options "Charged" Nissan cars: GT-R, 370Z, Juke, Micra and Note (Europe only).

In the case of the GT-R Nismo, we are talking about an impressive increase in performance - 591 hp. and 652 Nm of torque. This is 50 hp. and 24 Nm exceeds the specifications of the standard model. The 370Z Nismo gains 17 hp. and 8 Nm, and the Juke Nismo is 17 hp. and 30 Nm.

At the same time, all cars have different suspensions and improvements in body rigidity, as well as many external and internal elements of the differences.
Although the Nismo brand has been on the market for about 30 years, mainly specializing in motorsport cars and special edition GT-Rs, in 2013 alone, sales of its models exceeded 30 thousand on a global scale.

The company's plans for the near future include the full globalization of the Nismo brand and the release of an expanded line of "charged" Nissan models to attract more customers.
