Limited edition Nissan GT-R Nismo in McDonald's style

Automaker Nissan has teamed up with a fast food restaurant brand to offer a special prize to Japanese consumers and a test drive in the new Nissan GT-R.

It is not surprising that the former Nissan GT-R it will last another year in the form of a new, more expensive model. However, having completed its less-than-groundbreaking announcement of 2022 GT-R Nismo Special Edition, Nissan unexpectedly opened a giant McDonald's Happy Meal box to reveal gold version of the new GT-R, theme around iconic golden arches.

Before getting your hopes up, no it won't be some weird limited production model, but if will be what a handful of McDonald's fast food lovers can get, it is not uncommon for some Nissan models to become part of the toys offered with Happy Meals, a children's menu in restaurants.

McDonald's and Nissan built the McDT-R to promote the return of the GT-R. to the Happy Meal toy list in Japan, where the food is known as the "Happy Set". The palm-sized replica gold GT-R will be one of five miniatures made by Tomica to be sold with Happy Set food in Japan from April 30 to May 13. and a sleek gray GT-R Nismo Special Edition.

Most of the toy cars included in the Happy Set, as the menu is known to reproduce the production version of the car, painted in gray. Only a few lucky ones will be lucky enough to get their hands on this special version of the model.

Some lucky ones will be able to drive the GT-R Nismo.

A handful of Japanese drivers can also buy time driving Ronald's GT-R through. According to the competition website, two families, each with up to three drivers, will be invited to the Nissan Grandrive Proving Ground in Kanagawa, where they will test drive the car and drive with a Nissan test driver., which will supposedly show what the GT-R is really capable of. They will then receive a commemorative photo with the car, not to mention a replica of a small golden toy to take with them.

Those who are too young to put their name in a baseball cap for a test drive can still enter and win one of 20 consolation prizes: commemorative gold gift cards with a car printed on them and an offer of 1,000 yen, given that they are loaded no doubt enough to buy a quick meal.
